Why it is important to release stress?

Stress has been described by World Health Organisation as the health epidemic of 21st century. Stress is very common condition that occurs when you feel too much pressure that you are unable to cope with. Our body is equipped to handle small doses, but when long term, it can have serious effects on your body. It supresses the immune system, causes weight gain, fatigue, irritability and headaches, increases blood pressure, affects the quality of sleep, lowers libido, affects menstrual cycle and ovulation as well as creates erectile dysfunction. Prolonged stress has a negative impact on your brain as well. It impairs your memory, affects problem solving, decision making and self-control. It also increases the risk of mental illness like anxiety and depression.

How does is work in group setting?

When tapping in groups we focus on one specific problem e.g., stress related to deadlines. One person is facilitating the session by saying specific sentences and going through tapping points, while the rest of the group would repeat. Scripts are provided to make it easier to facilitate the session, however after the coaching and catch-up sessions, everybody should have a good idea what to do and be able to apply it specifically to their needs.
